Sources

Facts about a program come from the state register, the program's own website or its Google profile, and each is labelled. Statistics are calculated from the full dataset and dated.

State records

Inspection violations are reproduced as the state wrote them. We do not summarise, soften or characterise them.

Use of AI

Software reads program websites and extracts tuition, approach and accreditation. A tuition figure is kept only with a matching quote from the page. AI is not used to write about violations or to describe any program's quality.

Images

Program photos come from the program's public Google profile or its own website. We do not publish photographs in which children can be identified from a source other than the program itself.

Independence

Programs cannot pay for position, for the removal of a record or for changes to state data. Sponsored placements are labelled.

Corrections

We correct errors within five working days and re-sync the record with its source. Use the corrections form.
